Hi! I’m Renee Gurganus, owner of The Salty Monkey. I grew up in Augusta, Georgia and now live in Wilmington, NC with my husband Mark. I have always loved Interior Design but I built my career in the nonprofit world over 30 years ago. I am currently the Executive Director of the Window Coverings Association where I keep up with the latest trends in design at conferences and markets.

After raising four fabulous daughters, I was ready to dive into something fun and that is how The Salty Monkey was born. It has truly been a learning experience, but one that has introduced me to other incredible people in this industry.
